TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association) STANDARDS

The Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) is a not-for-profit industry organization of manufacturers and shippers and their logistics service providers with the goal of minimizing supply chain losses resulting from cargo theft.

The association provides a range of industry standards, training, incident investigation, route planning and tools. TAPA operates in three regions: Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the Americas, Asia and the Pacific.

TAPA EMEA offers 3 supply chain security standards:
  • FSR – Facility Security Requirements
  • TSR – Trucking Security Requirements
  • PSR – Parking Security Requirements
The TAPA EMEA Intelligence System (TIS) helps members manage risks and prevent losses from criminal attacks. It informs members when, where and how cargo theft has occurred, the manner in which criminals operate in these attacks and the type of products stolen. TIS maps freight crime hotspots, enabling members to see facilities, truck operators and secure parking spaces that meet TAPA EMEA standards

TAPA Certificate is achieved following an audit by approved independent auditing bodies (IAB) or through self-certification. Certificates are available to TAPA EMEA members. Non-member companies must first undergo a standards training course.
