ÁÄŃ EN ISO 17065 scope:
This standard contains requirements for the competence, consistent operation and impartiality of products, processes (production control systems) and services certification bodies. Certification bodies operating in accordance with the standard do not need to offer all types of certification of products, processes and services. The certification of products, processes and services is an assessment by an independent third party applying certification schemes. The certification schemes are defined in the relevant Regulation of the European Commission or Ordinance of the Council of Ministers.
ÁÄŃ EN ISO 17065 is intended for use by the certification bodies, by the national accreditation bodies (for Bulgaria EA BAS), by the regulatory bodies (for example by the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works).
Certification bodies assess the conformity of a product, process and service to certain requirements, which can be defined in: national and European regulations, standards, European technical specifications, European technical approvals, relevant technical specifications of the manufacturer, etc.
