SERVICE OF PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION OFFICER (DPO)
In connection with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), we offer as a service the opportunity to be your DPO. DPO can be an employee of a personal data controller or a person external to the personal data controller charged with advisory functions in the field of personal data protection, supervision of compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and PDPA and staff awareness and tràining.
The Regulation provides for a data protection officer to have only certain categories of personal data controllers, as:
- public bodies or structures, except in the case of courts in the exercise of their judicial functions;
- administrators whose activities, due to their characteristics, scope and objectives, require regular and systematic large-scale monitoring of data subjects;
- administrators whose main activities consist of large-scale processing of special categories of data and personal data related to convictions and infringements.
- to inform and to advise the controller or processor of personal data and the employees who perform processing, for their obligations under the regulations for personal data protection;
- to monitor compliance with data protection rules and the controller's or processor's policies regarding the protection of personal data, including the assignment of responsibilities, awareness raising and tràining of personnel involved in processing operations and relevant audits;
- on request, to advise on the data protection impact assessment and monitor the assessment;
- to collaborate with the supervisory body;
- to act as a contact point for the supervisory authority on matters relating to processing, including prior consultation, and, where appropriate, to consult on any other matter.
